365 Days of Love, 58 days Late!

Ok so today me and Daire ( http://dairescorner.blogspot.com/ ) went into Waterford city with big signs that said "SMILE God Loves You!" and "SMILE Jesus Loves You!"

We filmed ourselves walking around Waterford holding these signs and we told so many people that Jesus loves them. A lot of people were very insulting and said some horribly explicit things, but I told them Jesus still loves them anyway.

It did make me feel uncomfortable that a lot of people just plain did not care, they just kept walking, not paying attention. And a lot of people simply said "Sure he does". Some of them sounded very sarcastic but some of them sounded sad as if they blamed Jesus for things that have gone wrong for them.

The atmosphere in Waterford at first was just uncomfortable. We seemed to be the happiest people there, everyone else was just so cold and definitely needed to feel love.

Later on, the teenage rebellious types came out with their own signs, saying "Down With This Sort of Thing" and "Jesus is not the Messiah, He is A Very Naughty Boy" which are both television references (Father Ted and Monty Python), which proves that the media has such an influence on the way these kids think these days.

They were so against the fact that Jesus loves them. One person even said "Nah, Jesus hates me" and I told him "no, Jesus Loves You, He doesn't hate anyone" but he just waved me away.

I think we managed to brighten up some elderly peoples day today though, we got plenty of smiles from them :) one guy even said "PRAISE THE LORD !" and another, across the street at the bus stop raised up his arms when he read our signs!

So, as I say in my awkward part of the video, Hopefully me and Daire planted some seeds today ! :)

So so so....

So this week I got back to Bible study after a long time of not going. It once again filled up the little empty space that is always hungry for teachings of the Word of God. I missed church and bible study so much, but circumstances seemed to get in my way. I shouldn't have let them, but they did.

Tomorrow is going to be AWESOME~

Me, Daire, Danny and Neeve are going up town with signs that say

"SMILE God Loves You!" "SMILE Jesus Loves You" and "SMILE God Thinks You Are Special"

Following in the footsteps of Mr. Jaeson Ma and his 365 Days of Love Campaign, we've decided to go out and tell the people of Waterford that they are loved.

Here is Jaeson Ma doing what we're planning on doing.

I am completely inspired by this an I feel called to follow in his footsteps, to spread the love of God through this town. I can't wait for the morning :)

We are meeting in Subway at noon and having a bite before the lunchtime rush, then hitting the streets to spread the message of LOVE

I personally hope to continue these little acts of showing LOVE to the town and its people, following the 365 Days of LOVE Campaign and being creative and throwing in my own ideas :)

Keeping it all Biblical and always pointing to Jesus of course!!!!
