Kpop time,.. well.. almost

Ok, so I LOVE Korean pop music. Which isn't very usual for an Irish girl.
Bt then again, I'm not a usual Irish girl.

But one thing that annoys me is Anti fans. People who are so hateful towards celebrities, but yet have the same obsessive qualities as fans.
Recently an article came out saying that Girls Generation are very hateful towards Hangeng of Super Junior and that they were one of the reasons he wanted his contract with SM Entertainment cancelled. But it was the work of an Anti fan taking comments out of context.
So much in the world gets taken out of context and used for bad.
Especially the Bible and celebrity interviews.
Mostly the Bible though.

I fully support Hangeng and his decision, because the terms of the contracts with SM Entertainment seem very harsh. I will support the members of Super Junior no matter what because I am proud to be ELF.

Thats the other thing that bugs me. Fans that take it too far. Like the girls who sent bloody letters to Taecyeon,Taeyang and G-Dragon. Although Taecyeon's was by far the worst. These girls are so obsessed with these celebrities, they want to die because they can't have them as their own.
GIRLS, You need to realise that these men probably not ever going to be in love with you. They love their fans, sure, but cutting yourself to show your love to them is just scary and not healthy. I pray that these girls will find someone who will love them like they deserve and that they will realise that hurting themselves for others is bad.
God will send them the perfect man for them, and that man will be more perfect than any celebrity seems to be.

The last thing I will talk about here is G-Dragon, from Big Bang. He is going through a tough time, because his music is on the verge of getting banned, for a mistake that is not his own personal fault. His album has adult references, so it was rated for 19+, but at his first ever solo concert, there were fans as young as 12 there, and some of the choreography was,,.. lets say, inappropriate. But while he might have been involved in the choreography, its not his fault that the young fans were present. He doesn't decide that stuff. I feel so bad for him because he is getting the blame for this, and its clearly the companies fault for not setting the limits. Pray for him! (and add #iSupportGD to your tweets!)

I would hope that 2010 will be a good year for all these celebrities and their fans, and that all these problems will stay in 2009.
I also pray that more celebrities will give their lives to God, and not be ashamed to let the world know. They have so much influence and power over so many people, so they need to use it for good. Just look at Siwon Choi from Super Junior. He sang a Christian worship song at their Super Show concerts! I have a great respect for him.

I pray that all celebrities will follow his lead !

The Boy Jesus at the Temple - Luke 2:41-52

41Every year his parents went to Jerusalem for the Feast of the Passover. 42When he was twelve years old, they went up to the Feast, according to the custom. 43After the Feast was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. 44Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. 45When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. 46After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. 48When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, "Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you."
49"Why were you searching for me?" he asked. "Didn't you know I had to be in my Father's house?" 50But they did not understand what he was saying to them.

51Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men

Reading this made me think about how much the Lord sacrificed for us,.. He went from being Creator of the universe to a baby in a manger to a child who had to learn everything just like we did. We can always relate to him, and that is a great comfort to me. Most people don't think about this, they picture the Lord as either a big bearded happy guy with a halo or as He was at the Cross, but they never look at the details like this. Or at the fact that He was born in a manger, not to a royal family, nowhere near a maternity ward, but in a place you would never think of for the birth of a baby, especially not the Creator of all things.
He came humbly into this world, lived a life like all of us, but free from sin, but He still had to deal with temptation just like us.
We can all relate to him one way or another.
Just remember that we should be living like Him, humble and free from sin.
He came to FREE us from sin, not leave us to rot in it.
And to do that, He died the most horrific death we can imagine. Would you do that for someone you love? He did it for people who hated Him, and for people who these days, don't even believe He exists.
But He still loves us,even though we are the way we are. He did all that for us, came to this earth, was born in the lowest of places, and then died the most horrific of deaths, to save us, the very ones who turned our backs on him and spit in his face.
Please, think about all of this.
God loves you. God wants to give you eternal life with Him. There is no catch to his love, no small print. He sacrificed so much for you, yes YOU!

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" - John 3:16

I'm telling you right now, true love is sacrifice.
Love is thinking about others before you think about yourself
Love is selfless not selfish. Love is God and God is love.
Love is when you lay down your life for another
Whether for your brother, your mother, your father or your sister
Its even laying down your life for your enemies,
That's unthinkable, but think about that
Love is true
Think.

Just thought I'd share what I just read

Psalm 144

1 Praise be to the LORD my Rock,
who trains my hands for war,
my fingers for battle.
2 He is my loving God and my fortress,
my stronghold and my deliverer,
my shield, in whom I take refuge,
who subdues peoples [a] under me.

3 O LORD, what is man that you care for him,
the son of man that you think of him?

4 Man is like a breath;
his days are like a fleeting shadow.

5 Part your heavens, O LORD, and come down;
touch the mountains, so that they smoke.

6 Send forth lightning and scatter {the enemies};
shoot your arrows and rout them.

7 Reach down your hand from on high;
deliver me and rescue me
from the mighty waters,
from the hands of foreigners

8 whose mouths are full of lies,
whose right hands are deceitful.

9 I will sing a new song to you, O God;
on the ten-stringed lyre I will make music to you,

10 to the One who gives victory to kings,
who delivers his servant David from the deadly sword.

11 Deliver me and rescue me
from the hands of foreigners
whose mouths are full of lies,
whose right hands are deceitful.

12 Then our sons in their youth
will be like well-nurtured plants,
and our daughters will be like pillars
carved to adorn a palace.

13 Our barns will be filled
with every kind of provision.
Our sheep will increase by thousands,
by tens of thousands in our fields;

14 our oxen will draw heavy loads. [b]
There will be no breaching of walls,
no going into captivity,
no cry of distress in our streets.

15 Blessed are the people of whom this is true;
blessed are the people whose God is the LORD.

시편 144 (Korean Bible)

I didn't write this but I wanted to share it.

Today's Verse:
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.— Romans 1:16 (NIV)

내가 복음을 부끄러워하지 아니하노니 이 복음은 모든 믿는 자에게 구원을 주시는 하나님의 능력이 됨이라 첫째는 유대인에게요 또한 헬라인에게로다 - 로마서 1:16 (Korean Bible)

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

Are you ashamed? Culture tries to make us ashamed about our faith, portraying people of faith as stupid, insensitive, judgmental, and hypocritical. Are you ashamed? Are you willing to share your faith humbly and gently with those who do not know Jesus as their Lord? Are you ashamed? Your hero left heaven to come to earth and risk everything so that you could come home to heaven with him. This Gospel is powerful. This Gospel is transformational. This Gospel, and the salvation it brings, is for all people. So let's not be ashamed; let's be joyous and generous with this incredible gift that we have received.
An AMAZING Message of LOVE from Jaeson Ma (http://www.jaesonma.com)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73kZ6wBoqTk&feature=player_embedded

Now Hollywood wants to make you think they know what love is.
But I'm a tell you what true love is.
Love is not what you see in the movies.
Its not the ecstasy, its not what you see in that scene
you know what I mean? I'm telling you right now, true love is sacrifice.
Love is thinking about others before you think about yourself
Love is selfless not selfish. Love is God and God is love.
Love is when you lay down your life for another
Whether for your brother, your mother, your father or your sister
Its even laying down your life for your enemies,
That's unthinkable, but think about that
Love is true
Think.

I'll put you in front of me
So everybody can see
My love, this is my love
I know that I'll be alright
As long as you are my guide
My love, this is my love

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast
It is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking
It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs
You see love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, it always perseveres
Love never fails. Love is everlasting
Its eternal, it goes on and on, it goes beyond time
Love is the only thing that will last when you die
But ask the question why? Do you have love?

I'll put you in front of me
So everybody can see
My love, this is my love
I know that I'll be alright
As long as you are my guide
My love, this is my love

There is no greater love than this than he who lays down his life for his friends
Now are you willing to lay down your life for your friends?
You're probably willing to lay down your life for your mother
your father, or your best friends
But are you willing to lay down your life for even those that hate you?
I'm going to tell you who did that
The definition of love is Jesus Christ. He is love
The nails in his hands, the thorns in his brow
Hanging on a cross for your sin my sins
That is love he died for you and me while we still hated him
That is love
God is true love, and if you don't know this love
Now is the time to know, perfect love

I'll put you in front of me
So everybody can see
My love, this is my love
I know that I'll be alright
As long as you are my guide
My love, this is my love

REMEMBER

Proverbs1:23 Come and listen to my counsel.I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise.

Colossians1:23 But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News.

Hebrews 12:3 Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.
Its so strange

I was born Thursday, December 31st, New Years Eve, 1987.
My brother was born Friday, January 1st, New Years Day, 1999.

He was born the day after my birthday, the weekday after me.
11 years later.

My sister was born on Wednesday, October 28th,1992.

She was born on a month thats earlier in the year than our ones, on the weekday before our ones.

So odd.
She is the odd one out too because me and my brother look like my dad and she looks like my mother.
Weeeird >.<
“For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?”- Mark 8:36

Seriously, I don't get it anymore. I see my friends falling down deeper and deeper into bad situations, and they think it is the best thing ever, think it's a great laugh and I can't see it anymore. I can't figure out how I thought all of that stuff was great while I was doing it. Because the day after a night of heavy drinking and "fun" is definitely a horrible day. Which clearly shows that it is not good for you.
I don't understand why people become "legends" for being able to drink way more than anyone else, for doing stupid harmful crap that hurts other people. Or even doing those things when you are sober for that matter. I do not understand the fun in hurting others. Or pulling dumb pranks that are harmful to others or that damage property and anything like that.
I don't understand how someone can become so popular from hurting others, physically, mentally and emotionally. Where's the fun in knowing you made someone feel horrible about themselves?
All that stuff gets you is a reputation, a bad one. And if you enjoy that rep, that makes you an even worse person in my opinion.

What good is your reputation when you are dead? What good is it gonna do your children in the future? Will the "fun" of it last? You can't do that stuff when you are older and get away with it. Do you really wanna end up living like this, or even ending up in worse places?

Open your eyes people, you need to start thinking about loving others, not hurting them. There is enough hurt in this world without you adding to it.
Sure, you will get "friends", people who tell you that what you did was awesome or that "you were some laugh the other day when you beat the head off that young'wan" or whatever, but they aren't true friends. What kind of friend encourages you to beat people up and to put yourself into those situations? A bad one, thats what.

I used to drink myself to sleep. It was a bad time. I would drink and drink and drink. Some people thought this was amazing, that we would have the greatest fun ever in doing it. I even thought it sometimes.nBut I know now how damaging that was to me and my health. And that I am lucky to still be here.
I should have every manner of disease and I should have about 3 kids by now, I should even be dead. But I got away from all that.
I found the Lord.
I know NOW that He protected me in those situations because He knew that I was seeking love in the wrong places, seeking fun in the wrong ways, and He brought me to himself to show me the right path to take.
And the right path to take is His, to walk with the Lord is to be happy.
I'm not saying I'm perfect now, by no means am I, but Jesus died for me, He bore my sins on the cross and yours, and He died, His blood covers us, washes us white as winter snow.
He gives me peace and patience, He loves me. And since I found him, I have been happy, so happy. I am a new person. And my life is considerably better than it was last year.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (English Standard Version)

17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come..

If you believe in Jesus and live for Him, turn from sin, turn from the old life, and He will make you a new creation, a new person, I'm not saying you will suddenly be perfect, but it feels pretty amazing to know that the Creator of the Universe wants a relationship with you. Nevermind all those other places you sought love, seek Him because He loves you.
I found it hard to believe it at first, but then God spoke to me, not right out loud, but through His Word, the Bible. I was a "have to see it to believe it" person and He showed himself to me through the Bible, I would never have thought it, but I recieved this great honour of God talking to me, the Creator of all things, talking to me?!
IT IS AMAZING, GOD IS AMAZING,
and I highly suggest you take a look at your life and ask yourself are you truly happy in your situation? Do the things you pursue for fun, make you happy the day after you do them?
I pray that the people out there who I am referring to would turn to the Lord when looking for love or for purpose.

8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.1 John 4:8 (English Standard Version)
Just thought I'd share what I just read,..

Today's Verse
How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you.

— Psalm 31:19 (NIV)

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Out of this psalm which begins in desperation, we find a crescendo of faith. While things may seem bleak, God will not abandon his children. Those who reverence God will not be forgotten. Far from ignoring his children, God has stored up his goodness which he will generously pour out on them to show that they are his. Those who take refuge in him will be protected and blessed. For those on this side of Jesus' resurrection, this promise of blessing and vindication takes on added depth and meaning as well as deeper assurance!

So just trust in God when facing bad times, David trusted in God even though people were seeking to kill him, but he still trusted in what Gods plan was. He trusted that God would not abandon him.

No matter how bad the storm, He will walk through it with you, God will not abandon you, He Loves you, Trust in Him in all situations and He will pour out his goodness on you!

29th May 09

The Lord is so awesome. He is providing so much for us in Calvary Waterford, He is so good to us, to all of us, not just CW, and for that I, we, are so Thankful!

We are doing a tea and coffee outreach tomorrow in town and I think He is sending me a little message, I read a verse that I had previously highlighted (Acts 18:9) which says
:

One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent."

and then I went to "www.biblegateway.com" and it was in the top read verses of this year.

THEN, just now, I opened my book, "Whats a Girl to Do?" by Janet Folger, and the first thing I see is THAT verse :)

So I am thinking maybe from now on, I will be a bit more outspoken about my love of the Lord :D

xx

MAY 2009 - Psalm 51

1 Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.
4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you are proved right when you speak
and justified when you judge.
5 Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
6 Surely you desire truth in the inner parts ;
you teach me wisdom in the inmost place.
7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

Ok so I will admit, in recent weeks, I had been slipping away from my walk with the Lord, but I felt called to go to Calvary Cork this weekend, to see their new building and to go to their Sunday service, and just being around so many Christians and seeing their devotion to God reminded me of how much I do really love Him and want to walk with Him.
I was present at the Baptism of two of the guys from Cork, I don't know them personally, but we were invited out to it, it was at a river out in the countryside in Cork at a beautiful location near a graveyard, and just watching them get Baptised in the name of the Lord, reminded me of my Baptism and how on fire for the Lord I had been.
So I went home, feeling refreshed, and watched the video of my own Baptism

www.facebook.com/home.php#/video/video.php

and it filled me with a sense of happiness, so much so that I wanted to sing Worship and praise to the Lord right then and there, so I found the song I wanted to sing in Worship, because I find singing as a great way to Worship and praise Him, and when I finished, I decided to listen to a Jon Foreman song that Ian, the guy who leads Worship at our Bible study, had played the week beforehand, "House of God Forever", and then I clicked on a song called "White as Snow" by the same guy, and while listening to it, I went to look up one of the psalms that Maeve had shown me on Judgement and I accidently typed Psalm 51 instead of 57, but it was PERFECT ! The song, White as Snow, that I had just been listening to, WAS Psalm 51, so of course in realising this, I sped through Psalm 51, and it was exactly what I needed to read,.. more like, .. exactly what I needed to say to the Lord and He , obviously, knew exactly what I needed to see in front of me.
I feel like I am on top of the world because I feel, once again like the Lord is there and I knew it all along I guess, but it took a little kick in the butt to get me to see it :)

Have mercy on me, oh God
According to Your unfailing love
According to Your great compassion
Blot out my transgressions

Create in me a clean heart, oh God
Restore in me the joy of Your salvation

The sacrifices of our God are a broken and a contrite heart
Against You and You alone have I sinned

Would You create in me a clean heart, oh God
Restore in me the joy of my salvation

Wash me white as snow
And I will be made whole
Wash me white as snow
And I will be made whole

Nice quote I found Online

The woman came from a man's rib, Not from his feet to walked on, Not from his head to be superior, But from his side to be equal, Under the arm to be protected, and next to the heart to be loved
Ok so everyones still acting like I am part of the Movementarians(The religious sect that the Simpsons joined, in case you aren't as weird as me to know that off the top of your head! )

It started when I started going to Bible studies with the American group who come to stay in Templars Hall every summer. They answered so many questions, questions that no teacher or anyone has been able to answer for me.. And they answered them using the Bible AND Science.
If I questioned anything about God before, people just shushed me "God did it now shut up and believe" You know the way Catholics are :P joking!

But, yes I know this might be a bit unbelievable, but God spoke to me.. Not literally but I had 2 strange experiences, it'll sound a bit odd but hear me out =]

Ok so for months I have been seeing the number 123 everywhere, whether it be on the clock, randomly looking at a dvd player and the time being 1:23 or randomly picking up a childrens book that said 123 farm on it. It all kinda freaked me out. (If you are a close friend of mine, you have probably been a witness to at least the time one!)
Then one day, I dropped my Bible onto the table and it fell open to page 123 by itself.. That page itself didn't really have any relevance. I think it was about "how to sacrifice your oxen" or something ...

But that gave me a clue.

So I went through every book of the Bible, to chapters 1:23 and 12:3 ..
and I found three random verses that fit together and made a message.

That says to me "Come to me and I will make you wise, keep believing and remember the Good News and when you grow weary think of what Jesus went through and your problems will seem minimal"

And after watching The Passion of the Christ and reading what He did go through for us, I cry even thinking about it!

THEN, I went upstairs to get a notebook to write down a prayer, because I hadn't become accustomed to praying out loud and a calendar that my mom gave me fell down off the shelf and it had a Bible quote about faith on it, and it said "Read Hebrews chapter 11" on it. So I did.
And it was all about the great efforts made by people in the past to keep their faith, and of the wonderful rewards for those who keep their faith.
And that was it for me! :)

Most of you can't accept that this is what I believe now, after me not having beliefs before..
But I've yelled at a bunch of people saying
"When exactly have you been in my head and seen what I really believe?!"
And they said "I suppose...but..." and still don't agree that I believe in Jesus, and what He did, of my own free will.

Nobody TOLD me I had to believe in God. That if I didn't, I couldn't leave the little room where I was tied up. *rolls eyes*

Contrary to popular belief, that is not what happened. What I said before is what happened.

And if you are still a naysayer, saying that I am brainwashed then just leave me alone and keep your ideas that I collect beans in the shape of Jesus. (another Simpsons reference if you didn't get that.)

I'll still love you anyways. And so will God.

one of my first ever Christian related blogs [Oct 08]

Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call."- Acts 2:38

Soon, I am going to be Baptised, ( along with Niamh )

I have turned from my sin so that I can live for Him. Jesus is the only way to go people!

"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." - John 14:6

I believe in what Jesus did on the Cross, that He bore our sins and that we are saved because of Him. God created us and sin hardened our hearts against Him but He didn't give up on us! He sent his Son to save us, to be our Rescuer as the childrens Bible calls him. Which is true.

God sent Jesus to die for us because He loves us.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" -John 3:16

He didn't abandon us to our sin and leave us to perish, to follow false idols. He wants us to be saved through Jesus.

"Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full"-John 10:7-10

God loves us. He wants a relationship with us. He wants us to live eternally with Him in Heaven.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." -Romans 8:38-39

It is only by turning to our sin that we turn away from God. Sin cannot come into the presence of God. But by repentance, turning from our sin and by accepting what Jesus did on the Cross, by living for Him, not against Him, we are re-born, born into a new life. Our sins died with Christ and just as He was resurrected, we are given a new life, free from sin.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"-Romans 6:23

I've turned from my sin. I used to do many bad things but I've turned away from my old life. I want to live for Him, to turn all aspects of my life to Him. I want to praise Him for all He has done for us, because He has done so much for us and half of the world doesn't even believe in Him. But He still loves them.

"Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love."-1 John 4:8

So to all the ones out there who still think I am brainwashed, answer me this. If you were given news this good, would you ignore it? Would you keep it to yourself? You all know me and should know that since I turned from my old life, I am happier than ever. And you guys know I don't lie about things that I am serious about. God has spoken to me through his Word and that to me is proof enough that He is there. I don't need scientific proof that He exists, I know it in my heart, my mind and every part of me.

As Alan said "It's not brain-washing, its a heart-washing"

"Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow."

"Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer
You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won't grow weary"

God Bless
